Russia says negotiations with Ukraine constructive

ISTANBUL, Mar 29 (PRIME) -- Moscow believes that the latest round of Russian–Ukrainian negotiations was positive and suggested a meeting between the presidents simultaneously with signing of a treaty by the foreign ministers, Presidential aide Vladimir Medinsky said on Tuesday.

"The negotiations have been constructive. We have received proposals from Ukraine in order to consider them, their clear position to be put into the agreement. These proposals will be considered soon and reported to the president, we will give our response then," Medinsky said.

"After today's reasonable negotiations, we have agreed and are offering a solution by virtue of which a summit is possible at the same time with signing of a treaty by the foreign ministers."

The official added that Russia has made both a political and a military step to deescalate the conflict.
